
In Which Life Takes a Bad Turn
The past two weeks were spent experiencing high levels of stress due to a family member being sick and then a couple of big events at work, so while a blog post was on my list, I just couldn’t get my brain working to get it done.
I didn’t pick up my journal or planner once, but I didn’t stray too far from my diet. Win! What helped was that I had planned out and prepped meals over the weekend before everything went pear-shaped, so I will definitely be making that a priority each Sunday.
Not journaling…that was probably not a smart choice because I know writing out what’s wrong and how I am feeling about it does indeed make me feel better, but I retreated into re-reading short stories or binging television I’ve already seen before.
Not my finest two weeks.
Not a full win, not a big loss. And I’m still feeling good about getting back on track. That’s a great feeling because usually when I fail at something, even a little bit, I tend to give up, so to still want to keep at it is awesome.
Now if I could bring that feeling to consistently studying Italian…
