PICTURE POST: Not like last year

Historic district, Bethlehem PA

Had this picture been taken around the same time last year the area would have been jam packed with people and food vendors lining the path. Musikfest in Bethlehem has gone mostly virtual this year, and while my little anti-social heart enjoys the quiet, I have to admit that I like to go at least once each year. Of course, I go as soon as the festival opens to be in, eat quick and catch some tunes, and then run away before it gets too crowded.

This year, I think we’ll be popping by for some fest food over at ArtsQuest because I love a basket of chicken fingers and fries from Mr. Bill’s Poultry and the taller one loves the Aw Shucks roasted corn. Plus, we’re both missing funnel cake like there’s a hole in our hearts… They’re trying to make sure the usual crowds do not gather, and waiting in line is something I don’t mind doing on a nice day, so here’s to good weather this week! (With a tropical storm, sometimes hurricane, coming up the coast…)

Hope everyone is safe and wearing a mask!
