PICTURE POST: Spider Web

Spider Web near the creek.

I love taking pictures of spider webs. I am not a fan of spiders, but I respect their skills.

Rarely do my web pics come out with the web in focus and visible, so I had to share this one that did. Taken on a walk last week, and thankfully the spider was nowhere in sight!

And as an update, I made it through three-quarters of the clothes cleaning (I still have the “bags” to go through (from backpacks to purses) but for now, I am 6 garbage bags lighter than I was when I started last Friday. I ended up keeping more than I had hoped, but I can also say that what I did keep makes me happy with the choices, and that’s the whole point. Yesterday I wore a t-shirt I hadn’t seen in quite a while because it was tucked away in a space-saver bag with some sweatshirts I hadn’t opened over the winter.

This week I will go through the bags and then prepare for the books part of the KonMari Method. Thankfully, I had gone through the majority last year and so I can almost identify which ones I will be donating even as I type this now, as well as minimising the amount of Japanese manga I have stored away. Keeping the ones I love, donating or selling the ones I know I won’t open again. I’m a little surprised at how calm I’m feeling about this part considering how possessive I am of my books. I think it’s because I already did the hard part late last year, almost halving my collection when moving house was on the table (thanks COVID). I got past the “Mine! Mine! Mine!” part of my brain that kicks in when I think of my books at that point, so hopefully I won’t be a basketcase by the end.

Be safe everyone, and wear a mask!
