One of my favorite places to visit is County Down, Northern Ireland. There are so many beautiful sights to see and towns to visit. Wonderful people to talk to. The Mourne Mountains are visible from (seemingly) almost anywhere, and the Irish Sea is never too far away. There are mysterious stone megaliths guarding ancient tombs, green fields dotted with wandering sheep, and hundreds of small shops where you can find any and every kind of souvenir of your visit. I’m partial to visiting Castlewellen Forest Park, walking in Newcastle, and breathing in the ocean air on Murlough Beach, but there are so many other places that are just as awesome that I think you should visit and find favorites of your own!
